Wood County Circuit Court Judge Gregory J. Potter has announced that he will be stepping down from the bench after more than two decades of service. He was first appointed to the position in 2001 and has won re-election four times, with his most recent victory occurring in 2020.
Before becoming a judge, Potter served as the Wood County District Attorney for 14 years, having been first appointed to that role in 1987. Prior to his time as a district attorney, he practiced law in private for three years.
Potter’s last day on the bench is scheduled for November 30, 2024.
