Connect with members of the bench and bar from across Wisconsin at the State Bar's Annual Meeting & Conference (AMC), June 18-20, 2025, at Monona Terrace in Madison. This is your opportunity to network with judicial colleagues, reconnect with old friends, and meet new ones in an engaging, informative setting.
New this year: A special two-session Judicial Track developed by judges to foster collaboration between the bench and bar:
- Session One: Covers pretrial strategies, including scheduling, discovery disputes, sanctions, depositions, and judicial oversight. Judges and lawyers will discuss case management and courtroom best practices.
- Session Two: Examines business torts, the economic loss doctrine, receiverships, and Wisconsin's commercial laws, offering key insights for complex business litigation
Closing Plenary: "The End of Deference? Tetra Tech, Loper Bright, and Judicial Review of Agency Decisions"
Designed with judicial feedback in mind, this session explores the Deference Doctrine and judicial review, focusing on Wisconsin's Tetra Tech (2018) and the U.S. Supreme Court's Loper Bright (2024) rulings, which eliminated agency deference. The panel will discuss the implications and what's next.

All educational sessions qualify for judicial education credit, and conference registration is covered by the Director of State Courts. A hotel room block at the state government rate has also been secured for judges.
