Clerks of court, court operations staff, and district court administrators from across Wisconsin gathered for the Clerk’s Institute Conference from February 12-14 at the Kalahari Resort in Baraboo. The annual conference, jointly organized by Judicial Education and Court Operations, offers training on key topics affecting court administration and case management.
Attendees participated in sessions covering a range of subjects, including restitution, indigent litigant issues, juror privacy and jury resources, and mandatory reporting requirements. Additional presentations addressed domestic abuse dynamics and trauma, staff management across generations, and considerations related to the Department of Natural Resources. Updates were also provided from the Court Interpreter Program, the Consolidated Court Automation Programs (CCAP), and Court Operations.
The conference provided a forum for knowledge-sharing and training on best practices in court administration, offering attendees practical resources to support their roles. It remains a key opportunity for professional development and collaboration within Wisconsin’s court system.
