DCA Szablewski named deputy director for court operations
First District Court Administrator Holly Szablewski will become Deputy Director for Court Operations, replacing retiring Diane Fremgen on June 4, Director of State Courts Randy R. Koschnick announced.
Before becoming the district court administrator in 2014, Szablewski spent 13 years as Milwaukee County’s Judicial Review Coordinator and was responsible for supervising the Court Coordinators Office as well as administration of the county’s pretrial service programs, drug treatment court and other court-administered early intervention programming. While in that role, Szablewski helped lead the development and implementation of Milwaukee County’s Universal Pretrial Screening program, implementation of the Public Safety Assessment, and re-design of Milwaukee County’s pretrial supervision programs. Prior to her role with the county, Szablewski had also worked13 years developing and managing Milwaukee County pretrial service programming for a private non-profit agency.
Szablewski currently serves on several state and local justice system committees, including the Making the record Committee, PPAC (Planning, Policy and Advisory Committee), Effective Justice Strategies Subcommittee, STOP Grant Advisory Committee, State of Wisconsin Criminal Justice Coordinating Council’s Evidence-Based Decision Making Subcommittee, Statistical Reports Workgroup and Milwaukee County’s Evidence-Based Decision Making Initiative Policy Team.
