Investigator

The Wisconsin Supreme Court's Office of Lawyer Regulation is seeking candidates for a full-time Investigator position.

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Salary: $41,656 with excellent state benefits

Responsibilities: The selected candidate will:
  1. Formulate evaluation and investigation strategies and prepare reports of recommended findings, conclusions and case dispositions
  2. Communicate case results to reviewing authorities and parties
  3. Prepare, process and monitor consensual dispositions

Qualifications:
Required:
  1. Courses and/or experience in investigative work and a strong background in law and ethics
  2. Legal writing skills and excellent communication skills
Preferred:
  1. Law degree, or a bachelors degree and paralegal training supplemented by substantial post-baccalaureate paralegal experience in a law firm or government agency
  2. Knowledge of attorney discipline and the Rules of Professional Conduct for Attorneys
  3. Proficiency with computers and software programs
