Continuing education reporting
While interpreters are strongly encouraged to seek out additional training opportunities to expand their knowledge and enhance their skills, Wisconsin does not currently require interpreters appearing on the roster to complete continuing education requirements. However, interpreters who take courses, attend conferences, and join professional associations as a means of professional development are now able to report these activities to the Court Interpreter Program and have them appear on the roster. Court interpreters are encouraged to submit one form for each educational or training event completed. For this initial reporting period, activities starting from July 2012 are eligible for reporting.
Contact the interpreter program if you are unsure whether an activity qualifies as an educational event.
